Letters

Personal Statement

Attach a personal statement of no more than 1,000 words. Include a brief history of how you have developed as faith leader, your ministry, when and where you joined the Episcopal Church (or an Anglican Communion Church), and how this journey has led you to develop your proposed course of study.

Essay

The essay for candidates applying for an academic track should explain the proposed course of study with a maximum length of 1,200 words. Points of discussion should include the following:

A synopsis of the course of study
Interest and commitment to forming the next generation of lay and clergy scholars and ministry leaders
The demonstrated need for this particular area of study
The proposed methodology for sharing the knowledge, experience, or best practices gained in this study with people at the community, grassroots or congregational level

Video Statement

Please submit a video, no more than three minutes in length, which expresses the tangible ways in which your course of study will benefit future students and/or the wider Church.
